I Just Had To…

Look at this! It’s so beautiful here where I live. I find beauty here in the winter and the summer. All year. I’m out here right now in the mountains near where I live. I just had to come out here into nature, with the snow falling, the ground and the rest of everything covered in fluffy frozen water.

I felt the need to go snowshoeing right now, in the middle of the snow fall.  Now I am literally just sitting here looking at this vastness in where I just transcended. The city, the houses, the man made anything isn’t in sight. It's so amazing, so so beautiful.

I feel at peace. I’m inspired by it. I’m calm and excited all at once. I should say I ascended, climbed up the mountain. And in every step I pause with awe, it, the beauty and grandeur, literally takes my breath away.

Taking deep breaths in the snowy, crisp cold clean air. It’s just magnificent. There’s nothing else to compare it to. Every step takes my breath away. And the next step gives space for the next step. Does life do this for you?

How does life do that for you? Do you keep taking just that next step and the next and you keep doing that until your experience just takes your breath away?  Pretty soon you're at the top of the mountain. And for me, when I look around, I’m all alone and at peace.

Before I know it, I’m all by myself sitting in the snow contemplating the beauty around me. I just sit here in this incredible moment in the snow. It's a long way back down, always is but here I am. As I'm walking on the cold windy summit. I’m just reveling.

Wanna know the coolest part about snowshoes though? There are all these sage brushes all over the pathway up. With the snowshoes, I can literally like just step right on them. I just step on top of each one of them to go in a more straight and easy path.

In the summertime, I have to walk around the sage bush to climb or descend the mountain.

They scratch me all up. It’s just part of the experience though I try to avoid it. In the winter, however, this is a really fun aspect of snow shoeing; I just go right over the top.

Ohhhh, I just found a flock of wild turkeys!! Nature is so beautiful and so cool! Look at that! I know why I just had to go. I needed just this beautiful peaceful, amazing moment for myself. I’m filled back up and ready to go.
